Planning Manager

Mission

To continuously develop the PSD Supply chain to be a state-of-the-art logistics provider, managing and developing a high-performance, qualitative and cost-efficient supply chain for our customers. We will be leading in providing expert knowledge within the supply chain area. Together we will secure an efficient and reliable spare parts distribution that delivers the right availability to our customers with optimized inventory efficiency.

Position objectives

- Develop, implement and secure an efficient supply chain in your assigned region to reach high parts availability for our end customers to the right total supplied cost

Main tasks

- Strictly abide by safety production regulations and operating procedures.

- Master the safety production knowledge required for the position and implement safety production requirements and standard. Participate in the identification and control of hazard and safety risks;
- Inventory management to find an optimum balance between parts availability and cost of carrying inventory by setting stock holding policies for Distribution Centers and Customer Centers

- Analyze stocking requests from the organization to add new parts in stock

- Continuously analyze and act on slow moving and obsolete inventory in the supply chain

- Global Super User in the inventory and parts planning tool, Supply Chain Concept

- Lead the supply chain development in your region working with Customer Center Logistics, Sales and Service organization to improve our performance by developing and maintaining standard ways of working with our tools & our policies, concepts and routines

- Chair the Logistics Review Meetings with your region to follow up ongoing activities and performance
- Drive the supply chain competence development in our supply chain (Distribution Centers, Customer Centers)
- Cross functional interaction within the division to secure we work together to improve our service

- Share knowledge and ideas across business areas
- Strong presence and interaction within the whole supply chain (Suppliers, Distribution Centers, Customer Centers)

Knowledge

We expect you to have a genuine interest in the supply chain and experience in supply chain, inventory management, customer service and/or production processes (min 5 years). You must have a strong interest in engaging in improvement opportunities and to find and implement solutions. It is a requirement that you are fluent in English, Spanish knowledge is considered as an advantage. Project Management experience preferred.

Knowledge in relevant safety, health and environment laws, regulations, requirements

Education

University degree in Economics, Logistics or Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
