Mission:
As a R&D Team Leader in Top Hammer Drilling Tools for the Chinese market, you will collaborate across departments to provide solutions in areas such as product maintenance, continuous product improvement, customer-specific requirements, and input for new product development.
Responsibilities:
- Identify market opportunities and development trends for Top Hammer Drilling Tools.
- Participate in the new product development of Top Hammer Drilling Tools and comply with project processes.
- Engage in the design of structural components for Top Hammer Drilling Tools.
- Provide R&D support throughout all phases of Top Hammer Drilling Tool development projects.
- Offer technical support for local production to enhance the performance, reliability, and quality of Top Hammer Drilling Tool products.
- Be responsible for resolving on-site issues related to Top Hammer Drilling Tools raised by the Technical Service and Customer Center.
- Manage the patent application process for projects associated with Top Hammer Drilling Tools.
- Develop testing procedures for Top Hammer Drilling Tools when necessary.
- Support the localized R&D, design, testing, and market launch of new Top Hammer Drilling Tool products.
- Assist the Procurement Department in conducting qualification certification for Top Hammer Drilling Tool suppliers.
- Analyze competitors and related technologies of Top Hammer Drilling Tools in the market.
Experience:
- More than 8 years of experience as a mechanical designer, with priority given to those having experience in the rock drilling industry.
- Understanding of the mechanical properties of materials, tribology, and solid mechanics.
- Proficiency in process technologies such as forging, turning, thread machining, heat treatment, and coating.
- Capability in 3D/2D design and drafting of components, and mastery of Pro/E or Creo.
- Experience in computer-aided engineering (e.g., Abaqus, Ansys) is preferred.
- Experience in the mining and construction industries is preferred.
Knowledge/Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
