Sourcing Engineer

Mission:
Establish and develop a quality-centric, cost-efficient supplier system for
PC Nanjing, with benefits extended to all divisions. This system shall support our supply chain and product development activities, in alignment with the company's strategic objectives and planned targets.
Collaborate and coordinate with other departments of PC Nanjing to continuously improve the supplier system, so as to meet production and aftermarket demands. The ultimate goals are to enhance quality, shorten lead times, achieve high delivery performance and reduce costs.
Specific Areas of Responsibility
Project Support
- Identify and select more qualified suppliers.
- Conduct competitive total cost negotiations with all suppliers for all materials.
- Cooperate with the Quality Team to formulate and implement quality improvement objectives and plans for all new suppliers.
- Work closely with the R&D and Design Teams to coordinate communication with existing suppliers, ensuring that all suppliers respond promptly and fully understand the company's requirements regarding lead times, technical specifications and quality standards.
- Take full responsibility for the entire process from prototype order placement to comprehensive validation and qualification.
- Manage acceptable supplier lead times to support project schedule requirements.
- Facilitate a smooth transition from prototype production to mass production.
- Strictly comply with work safety regulations and operating procedures.
Supplier Management
- Jointly promote the Supplier Onboarding and Elimination Process with all relevant stakeholders.
- Organize assessment plans for all local suppliers in accordance with TSQP standards, and conduct continuous tracking and improvement of supplier quality.
- Take full responsibility for supplier quality and support the Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) in resolving supplier-related quality issues.
- Conduct regular price negotiations with all local suppliers (1-2 times per year) to achieve continuous reduction in component costs.
- Drive sustained cost reduction through localization and supply chain optimization.
- Negotiate with all local suppliers to strive for the achievement of lead time targets.
- Negotiate with all local suppliers to strive for the achievement of payment term targets.
- Manage suppliers' On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance against set targets and drive continuous improvement.
- Enhance communication and develop relationships with suppliers in the spirit of open, ethical and friendly partnership.
- Manage supply agreements and all their appendices, ensuring timely execution, signing and filing at the correct location.
- Ensure the accuracy of all commercial master data (e.g., prices, lead times, minimum order quantities) in the system.
- Support production activities by guaranteeing the on-time delivery of all new components to meet production planning requirements.
Hiring Qualification
-Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related science and engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and sourcing.
- Possess strong negotiation skills and supplier assessment capabilities.
- Be well-organized, proactive, self-motivated and willing to acquire new skills.
- Demonstrate professional verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Have highly developed organizational abilities, including the capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Be adaptable to multicultural environments and possess a strong team spirit.
- Adhere to high ethical standards.
- Be proficient in oral and written English.
