Mission
Ensure and develop a quality focused and cost efficient supplier base for PC Nanjing and beneficial to all divisions. The supplier base should serve our supply chain and product development to meet our targets according to our strategy and plans.
Continuously improve the supplier base for both Production and Aftermarket requirements, in cooperation and alignment with other part of the PC Nanjing, to achieve improved quality, shorter lead time, high delivery performance and reduced cost.
Specific Areas of Responsibility
- Supporting company project
- Search and choose more qualified suppliers;
- Negotiate competitive total cost with all suppliers for all commodities;
- Work with Quality team to develop and implement quality improvement targets and programs for all new suppliers;
- Work closely with R&D team coordinating communications with current supplier to ensure that all suppliers respond quickly and fully understand Epiroc’s requirements regarding lead time, technical specifications and quality;
- Strictly abide by safety production regulations and operating procedures;
- Master the safety production knowledge required for the position, and implement safety production requirements and standard. Participate in the identification and control of hazard and safety risks;
- Supplier management:
- Have yearly evaluation plan (TSQP) for all local supplier, keep tracking and improving the quality of supplier;
- Support SQE for supplier quality issues resolve;
- Regular price negotiation with all local supplier (1 time or 2 time per year) to keep reducing the parts cost;
- Make sure supply contract with all appendix to be signed;
- Negotiate with all local supplier and try to achieve the lead time target;
- Negotiate with all local supplier and try to achieve the payment term target;
- Supplier On-Time-Delivery performance follow up & enhance improvement;
- To improve communication and develop relationship with suppliers in the spirit of open and friendly partnership.
- Make sure all commercial master data (price, lead time, MOQ) are correct in the system
Hiring Qualification
Education:
University graduate or above
Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
- Candidates with purchasing experience in Powertrain category (such as engines, gearboxes, axles, radiators, tyres, etc) will be given priority consideration.
- Competent in negotiating skills and assessing vendors;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Well organized, self-starter with initiative; willing to learn new skills;
- Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills required;
- Must have highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines;
- Minimum of 2-years’ experience in sourcing function;
- Knowledge in relevant safety, health and environment laws, regulations, requirements.
- Fluent in spoken and written English
