Sourcing Engineer

Mission:
Ensure and develop a quality focused and cost efficient supplier base. The supplier base should serve our supply chain and product development to meet our targets according to our strategy and plans.
Continuously improve the supplier base for Production requirements, in cooperation and alignment with other functions, to achieve improved quality, shorter lead time, high delivery performance and reduced cost.
Main Responsibilities:
Supporting company project
Search and develop qualified and stable suppliers with SDE and RD
Negotiate competitive total cost with suppliers
Work with SDE team to develop and implement quality improvement targets and programs for all new suppliers
Work closely with D&D team coordinating communications with supplier to ensure that supplier respond quickly and fully understand Epiroc's requirements regarding lead time, technical specifications and quality
Take full responsibility of initial sample placing till full verification and qualification
Manage acceptable supplier lead time to support project time requirement
Drive smoothly transferring from initial sample to batch production
Supplier management:
Facilitate 'Supplier phase in and phase out' together with all stakeholders
Organize supplier evaluation plan for all local suppliers according to TSQP, keep tracking and improving supplier quality
Take full responsibility of supplier quality and support SQE for supplier quality issues resolve
Regular price negotiation with all local supplier (1 time or 2 time per year) to keep reducing the parts cost
Drive continuous cost reduction via localization and supply chain optimization
Negotiate with all local supplier and try to achieve the lead time target
Negotiate with all local supplier and try to achieve the payment term target
Manage supplier 'On-Time-Delivery' performance according to target & drive for improvement
Improve communication and develop relationship with suppliers in the spirit of open , moral and friendly partnership
Manage supply agreement with all appendix to be signed and archived in right place and right time
Make sure all commercial master data (price, lead time, MOQ) are correct in the system
Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and sourcing.
University graduate or above, majored in mechanical engineering, or related area
Competent in negotiating skills and assessing vendors
Well organized, self-starter with initiative; willing to learn new skills
Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills required
Behaviors:
Capable to adapt to multicultural environment with teamwork oriented
Must have highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Execute to high ethical standard
Fluent in spoken and written English
