Team Leader, Engineering - Epiroc (Nanjing) Construction & Mining Equipment Ltd

Located in Nanjing, within the Equipment & Service Business Area of Epiroc, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead the PSD engineering team focusing on innovation through to aftermarket product processes.

About the Role

As Team Leader of Engineering, you will spearhead the PSD engineering team to deliver outstanding results spanning product improvement, new product and technology development, as well as localization initiatives. Your mission includes ensuring all engineering outputs comply with Epiroc's rigorous design guidelines, quality, and safety standards, while fostering continuous improvement through coaching and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to safety production regulations and company operating procedures, setting the standard for the team.
• Drive the development of new aftermarket products to strengthen Epiroc's competitive edge in the global market, with an emphasis on the APAC region.
• Enhance engineering processes within PSD to improve effective management of Aftermarket Product Maintenance (PSM & FSM) and special requests, promoting continuous product improvement (CPI) in a structured manner.
• Lead the creation of innovative design solutions for the Epiroc Performance Network (EPN) through agile verification and validation methodologies.
• Innovate new CES (Capital Equipment Spares) and Midlife products tailored to varied applications and customer requirements.
• Champion business-focused spare parts design aligned with Capital Divisions’ new development projects or PSD initiatives.
• Develop cost-effective aftermarket products or smart service tools to stimulate aftermarket growth and enhance service efficiency.
• Take technical ownership for localization efforts in CES & Midlife or spare parts to ensure quality standards and accelerate implementation speed.
• Build and nurture future-ready capabilities in emerging technologies such as digitalization, electrification, automation, and AI, preparing the team for evolving industry demands.
• Champion a culture of innovation, commitment, and collaboration, supporting growth and development of team members.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong background in engineering and product design with broad and in-depth technical knowledge.
• Proven ability to view product functionality and performance from a customer perspective, ensuring solutions meet client needs.
• Demonstrated leadership excellence, capable of organizing and navigating dynamic environments alongside cross-functional teams.
• Experience in designing construction and mining machinery is highly regarded.
• People and project management experience is advantageous, with a focus on coaching and developing team performance.
• Fluency in English is essential for effective communication within a global company context.
