Overview

As a Technical Product Responsible professional at Epiroc, you will be instrumental in engineering and managing PSD-related products and projects with a focus on delivering exceptional aftermarket solutions. Your role is crucial in creating and maintaining a dynamic, flexible team environment that drives innovation and enhances customer satisfaction. Working within the Research & Development department, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines to support business growth, product localization, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and foster a culture within the Engineering department that prioritizes customer satisfaction through proactive teamwork and innovation.
  • Participate actively in PSD development projects, serving as an engineer or project leader, ensuring timely and quality delivery aligned with business needs.
  • Drive the continuous development of R&D processes tailored to evolving product and market requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with CMTEC India, managing work assignments, providing support, and conducting performance follow-ups.
  • Review and approve change notices (CNs) related to PSD-managed articles, ensuring all modifications meet rigorous quality and technical standards.
  • Identify and analyze new components sourced from sub-suppliers; assess which components require detailed spare parts breakdown to optimize inventory and support services.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, including R&D, service, and marketing, to determine appropriate spare parts supply levels and develop efficient kits tailored to market demands.
  • Design and implement localization and alternative parts solutions that sustain and accelerate business expansion in diverse markets.
  • Develop and maintain an Intelligent Quality (IQ) and Local Method of Operation List (MOL) template specifically for the capital division, ensuring standardized and efficient processes.
  • Provide expert technical support across multiple departments:
    • Marketing Team: Assist with design development, bills of materials management in Teamcenter, and technical expertise for spare parts and kit creation.
    • Technical Documentation: Contribute engineering insights to craft accurate instructions and operational manuals.
    • Technical Service: Support with engineering expertise and develop innovative service tools to enhance maintenance and repair capabilities.
    • PSD Training: Collaborate on technical content related to products and simulators, enhancing training effectiveness.
    • Strategic Purchasing: Support decision-making on parts replacement, supplier evaluations, and technical feasibility.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a technically proficient and proactive individual with a strong engineering foundation and extensive experience in spare parts management. To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • A university degree in Mechanical, Hydraulic, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in product development or aftermarket solutions.
  • Proven skills or experience in project leadership, capable of managing tasks efficiently and guiding teams.
  • Strong command of both English and Chinese languages to facilitate seamless communication in a global setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Epiroc systems and diverse product applications, with the ability to translate technical complexity into practical solutions.
