Technical Product Responsible

As a technical product responsible engineer you will have following responsibilities:

•      Design structural components for underground mining and excavation equipment.

•      Design mechanisms for different part of the underground mining and excavation equipment.

•      Review that development work is accordance with Epiroc Design Manual.

•      Create and maintain bill of material for the product and sub-assemblies.

•      Create and release change notifications (CN) with appropriate disposition class for each situation according to guidelines. 

•      Process Machine Orders in a timely and thorough manner.

•      Primary contact for the product´s OTD.

•      Participate and take an active role in continuous product improvement process.

•      Take full vehicle responsibility for a complete product line of machines.

•      Lead and organize all activities surrounding a product.

•      Select standard hardware and components.

•      Support sourcing group in selecting and qualifying suppliers.

•      Calculate and analyze load and stress level in structures and components.

•      Select material and specify manufacture process.

•      Assist manufacture on any mechanical vehicle related issues and find solutions.

•      Assist technical service and customer centers on any field problems.

•      Plan and coordinate tests activities, also participate as stakeholder when needed.

•      Other responsibilities as assigned by manager.

•      Good command in English is required

•      Strong background in mechanical component and mechanism design, hydraulic and electric knowledge on mining or construction vehicles.

•      3D/2D design and draft ability for components.

•     Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards of this type of product.

•      Experience and knowledge in construction machinery preferably in mining.

•      Knowledge of underground drilling equipment is desirable

•      Good interpersonal and communication skills.

•      Team player - open-minded and flexible.

•      Must be a hands-on type of person, with a bias for action. 

•      Self starter and goal orientated.

•      Attention to details and strong sense of responsibility.

•      Can-do-attitude
