Are you ready?

Position Objective

Lead the technical execution of Electrification Solutions (EES) R&D projects in Nanjing, with a focus on electrical infrastructure, electrification systems, and ventilation solutions.

Act as a key technical contributor and coordinator to ensure alignment with global R&D standards and support both global programs and regional project delivery.

Main Accountabilities

1. Technical Leadership

  • Lead design and development of:
    • Electrical infrastructure systems (power distribution, MCC, substations)
    • Electrification systems (BESS, EV charging, power electronics)
    • Ventilation systems (fans, motors, VFDs)
  • Ensure compliance with Epiroc engineering standards and applicable regulations
  • Review and validate engineering designs, documents, and technical solutions

 

2. Project Delivery

  • Execute R&D and customer projects within:
    • Scope, timeline, cost, and quality targets
  • Support global R&D programs and regional(Canada, Australia, and others) projects
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration (Product, Supply Chain, Quality)

 

3. Team Support & Coordination

  • Provide technical guidance and daily support to engineering team
  • Assign and track tasks within projects
  • Mentor junior engineers and support capability development

4. Communication & Collaboration

  • Act as technical interface between Nanjing and global R&D teams
  • Communicate technical decisions, risks, and project status effectively
  • Participate in global design reviews and coordination meetings

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Drive standardization, reuse, and engineering efficiency
  • Support cost reduction and localization initiatives
  • Contribute to technology development and innovation activities

6. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Epiroc SHEQ and engineering quality standards
  • Promote safe and compliant engineering practices

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

 

Experience

  • 6–10 years of experience in:
    • Electrical infrastructure or power systems
    • Electrification systems (BESS, chargers, power electronics)
  • Experience in R&D or product development environment
  • Experience working in international or cross-regional teams preferred

Key Competencies

  • Strong electrical engineering knowledge
  • Experience in system integration and industrial applications
  • Good communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Strong problem-solving capability
  • Ability to lead technical work and support team execution
