Job Title - Deputy Manager / Manager - Electrical & Controls

Job Responsibility -

  • Define the electrical and control system architecture for mobile mining machines.
  • Lead integration of electric powertrain systems, including motors, inverters, battery systems, and BMS.
  • Develop machine control systems for propulsion, steering, braking, traction, and stability.
  • Design and optimize electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, schematics, and 24V DC control architecture.
  • Establish machine communication networks such as CAN, CAN Open, J1939, Ether CAT, and other automation protocols.
  • Ensure seamless system integration across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and software systems.
  • Lead machine proving, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with functional safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive new product development and technology innovation for next-generation mining machines.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams and collaborate with global stakeholders.

Educational & Experience requirements:

  • M.E / M. Tech / B.E. / B. Tech degree in Electrical/Mechatronics from reputed institutions
  • 14-16 years in Construction/Mining Equipment Lead in R&D, Lead Electrical function technically and small team will be add on Function experience through E&E performance, calculations, SW development, Leading Logics, calculations etc.
  • Wheel Loaders and Underground Mining Loaders will be added to Advantage and Preferable
  • Handling Electrical Systems, Controls & Architecture leadership, driving cross-functional technical meetings, design reviews, and troubleshooting sessions for system integration and design decisions.
  • Strong awareness of state-of-the-art machine electrical architecture, EV technologies, control systems, and reliability targets for underground mining equipment.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven engineering professional with an innovation-driven mindset, capable of solving complex engineering problems across the product development lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of electric powertrain systems, including traction motors, inverters, battery systems, BMS, and power electronics.
  • Expertise in machine control systems and automation, including propulsion, steering, braking, traction control, and stability systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical architecture design, including ECUs, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and distributed I/O systems.
  • Experience in electrical schematic design, wiring harness design, and electrical component selection for mobile heavy equipment.
  • Strong experience with 24V DC electrical control systems and machine communication networks such as CAN, CAN Open, J1939, Ether CAT, and Modbus.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, and machine automation troubleshooting.
  • Experience in system architecture development and vehicle system integration, ensuring seamless interaction between electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and software systems.
  • Knowledge of model-based development tools such as MATLAB and Simulink for control system design and simulation.
  • Strong capability in system validation, machine proving, diagnostics, and root cause analysis using logs, CAN traces, and system data.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 13849, IEC 61508) applicable to mining and heavy equipment control systems.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills in complex product development environments.
