Job Description – Engineer / Senior Engineer TIS
Position Summary
The Technical Information Service Engineer (TIS) serves as the primary interface between EITC and key stakeholders across PSD, URE, SRD, Customer Centres, and Global Product Teams. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating, prioritizing, and monitoring technical documentation delivery for projects and manufacturing orders while ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with business objectives.
The position requires strong project coordination capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and a solid understanding of technical documentation processes within the mining and capital equipment industry.
Job Responsibility :

- Project & Order Planning Act as the primary point of contact for PSD, URE, SRD, and other key stakeholders for technical documentation.
- Coordinate and plan TIS - workload, priorities, and assignments to ensure efficient delivery time.
- Define and identify documentation deliverables impacted by Capital changes and New NPDs in collaboration with Product Teams and Subject Matter Experts.
- Register new projects and orders in planning systems (JIRA) and establish delivery schedules aligned with project milestones and manufacturing orders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource forecasts.
- Communicate workload constraints, capacity issues, and priority conflicts to stakeholders and management.
- Track project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Technical Documentation Management Support development and maintenance of: ▪ Spare Parts Catalogues (SPC)
- Instruction Books (AIB)
- Operation & Maintenance Manuals
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Change Removal Instructions (CRI)
- Other technical publications and documentation
- Drive continuous updates and improvements to technical documentation for delivered products.
- Ensure documentation complies with quality standards, business requirements, and customer expectations.
- Change & Issue Management Coordinate documentation updates resulting from: ▪ Product modifications –Engineering Change Notices
- Continuous Product Improvements (CPI)
- Field feedback
- ACIGN Cases
- Technical Service News Bulletin (TSNB)
- Manage and coordinate complex documentation changes with multiple stakeholders.
- Ensure all documentation updates are planned, executed, and communicated effectively with Epiroc Quality Standards.
- ACIGN & Customer Center Support Actively support Customer Center (CC) technical documentation requests and field problem investigations through the ACIGN system.
- Ensure ACIGN issues related to Nashik-based products and parts are claimed, tracked, and closed within established targets.
- Collaborate with global TIS teams to improve ACIGN response efficiency and performance.
- Capital Equipment & PSD Project TIS Support Contribute to Capital Equipment and PSD new project development TIS activities.
- Support process improvements and system enhancements related to technical information service.
- Assist CES technical documentation activities on time with required technical documentation.
- Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration Collaborate with EITC, Engineering, Technical Service, Sourcing, Marketing and Customer Center (CC) for securing TIS deliverables.
- Lead and facilitate weekly team pulse meetings in coordination with EITC and other stakeholders.
- Monitor team activities, work efficiency, and delivery performance.
- Support process standardization, continuous improvement initiatives, and knowledge sharing.
- Drive completion and closure of assigned tasks and projects within systems.
- Support global TIS initiatives and performance objectives through cross-regional cooperation.
- Promote effective collaboration across global hubs to achieve consistency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Mission:
- As a member of the PSD Engineer TIS, you will proactively ensure that technical documentation deliverables are planned, developed, and delivered on time with the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
You will:
- Secure timely delivery of all TIS documentation commitments.
- Establish effective collaboration across Engineering, Technical Service, Marketing, Sourcing, Customer Centers, and Product Teams.
- Ensure project communication brief for requirements needs to adhere and fulfilled, including: Project briefing
- Review plans
- Contact lists
- EITC planning
- Maintain strong delivery performance, Quality standards and achieve departmental KPIs.
- Drive transparency in project progress, priorities, and allocation.
- Support global coordination efforts and contribute to overall TIS operational excellence.
- Request clear prioritization from stakeholders (E.g. Project managers and Marketing) in case of delays and resource issues.
- Managing changes coming from Capital Equipment and PSD - and aligning/informing the teams with exception of CN’s.
- Register new project/order. Create rough estimated plan and work packages in planning system.
- Stating due date (According to MO/Project)
Experience requirements:
- 4–7-year experience in Engineering / Technical Documentation Project & Order Co-ordination.
- Experience in the mining, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial machinery industry is preferred.
- Good understanding with technical documentation development and maintenance processes with TIS-related systems and digital tools is an advantage.

Educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engg with 4-7 years of relevant experience.
- Additional certifications in Project Management, Technical Documentation, or Product Lifecycle Management will be considered an advantage.
