Job description:

We are looking for a person knowledgeable in product quality who is interested in working with our robust product quality team and contributing to upholding our Product Quality standards.

As Product Quality Engineer you will be responsible for planning and conducting Product Audits of Rigs manufactured at Nashik PC. You are also accountable for handling & resolving customer complaints. This will require wide collaboration with internal and external cross-functional teams.

As an expert & responsible Product Quality Engineer, you are expected to

• Resolve customer complaints with systematic problem-solving methods and ensure speedy implementation of corrective actions.
• Be well versed with the Product Application & Customer’s expectations
• Participate in testing to ensure the rig is tested and conforms to its specified functional & performance parameters.
• Carry out detailed audit in a safe way to highlight deviations from manufacturing & assembly processes
• Communicate the findings to assembly teams in agreed formats
• Collaborate with assembly teams for corrections & ensure no defects are passed on to Customer
• Ensure regular review meetings are happening to establish root cause & imparts “lessons learnt” from audit findings to the last assembler.
• Plan training to assemblers to reduce audit points covering good assembly practices and inputs from audit findings / Customer complaints.
• Be vigilant in early detection of errors, while the assembly is in progress.
• Regularly update audit checklist based on customer feedback
• Invite experts from CC/PSD/Global team to upgrade yourself & overall audit process
• Be flexible to understand the “Sense of Urgency” to complete audits in timely manner
• Drive automation & digitalization in product audit process to minimise audit time / paperwork.
• Analysis of FSM issues to plug the reoccurrences & monitoring the warranty cost.
• Participate in new product development or major CPI process to ensure Verification and Validations of specifications.

Experience requirements:

• Diploma with 7-10 years / Degree with 6-7 years of experience.
• Working with product quality within manufacturing or testing of heavy earth moving equipment is an added advantage.

Knowledge requirements:

• Technical know-how on application & handling heavy equipment is an added advantage
• Fluent with communication skills in English, both verbal and written, is required.
• You have an analytical personality and proven ability to make an impact.
• Root cause analysis
• Conversant with data analytics, Power BI

Educational requirements:

• Diploma / bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
