Join us as the General Manager for our Nashik Product Company and play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of manufacturing excellence and sustainable growth for Epiroc India.
About the Role
As General Manager, your mission is to lead and develop our Product Company in Nashik in a sustainable way, with a strong focus on volume growth, quality development, employee engagement and production efficiency. You will leverage the operations of several divisional factories within the existing Site I, while also taking ownership of the continued establishment and ramp-up of Site II in Nashik.
In this role, you will develop the production center into a world-class example of operational excellence in manufacturing, always in line with Epiroc’s safety, health, environmental and quality standards. You will support key strategic initiatives and continue the Nashik growth journey to serve local, regional and global markets. In addition, you will drive the implementation of the Epiroc Flow methodology, including lean manufacturing tools, while creating a supportive, growth-oriented and high-performing organization.
This position reports to the President of Epiroc India, with a matrix reporting line to the Vice President Operations of multiple equipment divisions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee manufacturing operations at Nashik Site I, while building and ramping up Nashik Site II and its supporting functions.
- Run the operations and deliver on KPIs across Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
- Grow volume output through the continued establishment of the second assembly plant in Nashik.
- Create sustainable results and continuously improve processes, while leveraging the Epiroc Flow program and LEAN ways of working.
- Drive the strategic development of the Product Company, based on the division’s production mission and strategy, as well as relevant Epiroc India strategic priorities.
- Strengthen quality development, increase production volumes and drive operational excellence across the organization.
- Cooperate with key stakeholders including global R&D, global sourcing, global SHEQ and marketing/sales on product portfolio optimization to drive efficiencies and deliver strong customer value.
- Develop One Team to further strengthen collaboration between divisions and Nashik teams.
- Foster a high-performing organization where people flourish in our culture, leadership is developed through Epiroc core values, and there is a strong talent pipeline.
- Ensure transparency and predictability in the company’s financials, while increasing profitability through continuous focus on functional cost efficiencies and operational excellence.
- Work closely with the India Centre of Excellence functions, including Finance, HR and Regional Supply Chain to boost volume growth, internal efficiency and external customer satisfaction.
Experience and requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a production environment, with a focus on manufacturing processes, growth, quality development, LEAN methodologies and strong financial results.
- Previous experience of establishing new assembly plants is considered a strong advantage.
- Ability to lead strategic transformations and adapt to changing environments.
- Proven experience managing and nurturing diverse teams.
- University degree in a relevant field.
- Fluent spoken and written English is required.
