Job Description – Product Engineer

Job Responsibility –

• Design and develop different Powertrain systems of Underground mining products
• Perform engineering design calculations as required
• Prepare equipment specifications by mechanical datasheets, equipment description and sizing
• Self-motivated concept developer and be able to adopt the best practices in industries
• Produce 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, general arrangement drawings, documentation schematics and test reports as required
• Good knowledge of PDM / PLM systems associated with engineering release processes
• Work closely with divisions and engineering center on need basis
• Should be able to handle the tasks independently with minimal guidance
• Follow internal project management system, ISO processes / procedures and standards
• Comply to Epiroc values and culture.

Competences, skills and experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in Mechanical components / system design and development for Underground mining products.

Educational requirements

• B.E. / B. Tech degree in Mechanical / Agricultural Engineering from reputed institutions
• Personality requirements
• Energetic, team player, willing to learn, approachable & goal oriented.
• Excellent Interpersonal & Communication skills
• Open to constructive feedback
• Result oriented and capable to work independently

Other Requirement:

• Strong knowledge of engineering design and strength of materials
• Expert in 3D CAD software's like Creo
• Basic knowledge of GD&T
• Knowledge of design standards, manufacturing processes and engineering materials
• Good knowledge of PDM /PLM systems associated with engineering release processes e.g. Team Center / M3 etc.
• Exposure to design release process and change management
• Experience in designing of Underground Mining Products or sub-system is must.
