Job Title: Production Planner
Job Responsibility:
- Work with Assembly team, purchasing teams and other functions to make a detailed production plan.
- To keep the production plan up to date and to be the planning coordinator for their area of responsibility.
- Make capacity need calculations and ensure 100% capacity load to production.
- SO opening and closing on time, std cost verification before SO closing, extra material analysis. Resolve errors in costing and BOM items before SO closure
- Schedule when materials shall be released from the warehouse to the production.
- Check material availability before SO releasing, co-ordinate with owners to minimize the shortage before production start. React to buyer/planner in case of suspected deviations in the flow of incoming materials.
- Handle upcoming situations of deviations in capacity or material supply and take necessary steps to re-plan the production.
- Take part in improvements to reduce lead times, increase flexibility, reduce inventories, increase productivity, and improve processes.
- Work with Marketing, Production, Sourcing and Engineering to review customer orders and have realistic delivery commitments and provide accurate promised production finish date for production units.
- Contribute to inventory target to balance the delivery and inventory; monitor and control material in stock & WIP; resolve the disposition of obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
Experience requirements.
- Should have experience to work on ERP e.g. M3 would be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Practical experience of working with MPS MRP system.
Educational requirements
- Full time Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering with 3-5 year relevant experience.
