Position: Project Manager

Job description

· Responsible for a total project including all phases. You will be involved in defining project scope and content

· Lead the creation of project budgets, work breakdowns, task prioritization, and integration plans with product specialist, functional specialist and project team members

· Prepare various reports including budget reports, project plans, project risks, project status and report to a Steering Group, Operational Product Board and the Strategic Product Board.

· Interact regularly with project sponsors and stakeholders, project teams, cross functional teams, different divisions depends on the project needs

· Conduct project management activities such as communicating with project sponsors, project engineers, technical expertise, etc. in order to track project cost and schedule milestones, maintain quality assurance processes, and keep the focus on delivering project commitments

· Coordinate, resolve, or assist in resolution of conflicts and other issues within and between project and program teams and recommend/provide solutions

· Evaluate schedule and cost constraints and operational and performance specifications for the selection of project materials and components

· Plan, schedule, perform and/or review inspections and tests of parts and equipment as required for project operations and completion

· Analyze and evaluate vendor proposals for related work, determine the feasibility of proposals and provide or evaluate cost benefit analysis as appropriate

· Implement, review progress and evaluate results on complex work assignments

· Work with business partners to analyze needs, design, and develop technical solutions

· Establish and coordinate improvements to project management processes and procedures for the organization

· Develop appropriate project management strategies for implementing requirements across a broad range of tasks and initiatives

· Participate in the strategic planning process and provide input into strategic decisions for organization

Experience requirements

The candidate should have 12 year of experience and have a solid experience in project management of projects with lead time up to two years and with similar complexity as heavy engineering products. You shall have several years of proven experience in project management and managing different functional requirements like engineering, sourcing, production and quality and supply chain.

Knowledge

Good Knowledge in NPD process and relevant engineering release processes. The development projects are run according to a well-established project model which will give you as Project Manager a good support to manage the project in all phases

Educational requirements

Master in Mechanical engineering from reputed organization

PMP certification is must

Personality requirements

As the main project manager have to get your entire project team to consistently deliver the very best they can, you need to be clear and firm with good communications skills and a strong own driving force and good interpersonal skills. You should be able to work under pressure and have the desire to take full responsibility
