Job Title - Purchase Engineer
Job Responsibility-
- Knowledge & understanding of Fabrication & machining process.
- Experience in handling Heavy Weldment suppliers.
- Organize supplier co-planning meetings to assure capacity of supply at key suppliers in global demand planning forecasts.
- Ownership of delivery precision from suppliers.
- Sign, follow up (maintain) and keep total ownership of parts to be arranged on time for production.
- Support forecast accuracy improvement activities & understanding of BOM structure.
- Monitor supplier performance KPIs and drive improvement activities to reduce lead times, improve delivery performance and support quality improvements.
- Support improvements of the supply flow to ensure we source in the right region based on country of origin and demand with zero shortage & on time delivery.
- Coordination with internal CFT team.
- Educate suppliers on how delivery performance is measured and how orders are handled at suppliers i.e., POs, emails, confirmations.
- Provide inputs into MOQ and order multiple optimizations from supplier.
- Should be Agile, Quick learner with Problem solving attitude.
- Able to work with CFT.
Competences, skills and experience:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or related degree.
- Experience in the global supply chain and part procurement with 4-5 years relevant experience.
- Experience in end-to-end supply chain management, inventory management, and project management.
- Ability to develop supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Power BI
- Prior experience working with MRP tools and handling hydraulic commodities will be an added advantage.
- Strong English communication skill both verbal and written. Additional language will be preferred
