Position Description

The Sourcing Manager – Surface Division reports to the Operations Manager of the Surface Division, PC Nashik. You will be part of the PC Nashik Surface Division Management Team and the PC Nashik Strategic Sourcing Management Team.

As Sourcing Manager for the Surface Division, you will act as the key interface between Division Operations and Strategic Sourcing. The role will define and prioritize divisional sourcing needs, drive execution through Category Managers, Supplier Development and sourcing teams, and support improvements in safety, sustainability, quality, delivery, cost, localization and project readiness.

Reporting Relationship:

This position reports by solid line to the Divisional Operations Manager and by dotted line to the Strategic Sourcing Head.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Build a Safety Always mindset in all sourcing activities.
  • Act as the key coordination link between Surface Division Operations and the Strategic Sourcing team.
  • Participate in local and divisional forums to represent Surface Division sourcing priorities at PC Nashik.
  • Define and prioritize divisional sourcing projects aligned with Operations objectives and the divisional roadmap, and drive execution through Category Managers, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Development, and supplier teams.
    • Prepare business proposals for new product / transfers and drive required approvals.
    • Coordinate localization actions and support required approvals.
    • Coordinate with Sourcing and Supplier Development to ensure PQAP adherence for initial samples and smooth handover to Operations.
    • Track progress, risks, commitments, and escalations for sourcing projects impacting Surface Division performance.
  • Guide and support teams in following defined procedures to ensure consistent quality & delivery performance.
  • Work with Strategic Sourcing on supplier capacity mapping to firm up MDP requirements.
  • Participate in supplier selection and cost approval decisions with Strategic Sourcing.
  • Participate in routine design and sustenance reviews such as BOM reviews, VA/VE and CPI, and follow up to update and close sourcing actions.
  • Track supplier performance KPIs with Strategic Sourcing and coordinate improvement actions across quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and compliance.
  • Support PC sustainability roadmaps in line with Epiroc 2030 targets, with focus on supplier CO2 reduction.
  • Support to maintain strong long-term partnerships with strategic suppliers.

Experience Requirements

  • Engineering graduate with 10–15 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier development, Project management.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing processes, supplier performance, cost drivers, risk management, and operational needs.
  • Experience in driving sourcing projects across Operations, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Supplier Development, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Exposure to localization, product transfers, NPD readiness, PPAP, supplier qualification, and capacity follow-up.
  • Ability to prepare business proposals, consolidate inputs, track actions, report KPIs, and manage escalations.
  • Good analytical ability (advance excel, business analysis), ERP exposure, stakeholder communication, and ability to work through teams without direct authority.
