Job Description: Technical Service Engineer

As Technical Service Engineer you will play a key role in the contribution to the product portfolio success by securing competence in our Customer Centers and provide field information to drive continuous product improvements.

In this role you will get the opportunity to meet people and get to know different cultures. You will drive the quality improvement work in cross functional forums focusing on continuous product improvements and play a key role in the contribution to the product portfolio success by securing competence in our CC´s around the globe.

You have a relevant technical education, preferably on bachelor university level or Diploma combined with practical experience and relevant experience from mining and construction industry/equipment. It is also important that you have the ability to maintain high productivity in a changing work environment.

Job Responsibility:

Product & Application Support

• Provide expert guidance on underground mining applications and equipment utilization.
• Support customers in achieving maximum equipment productivity, and reliability.
• Analyse machine performance data and recommend operational improvements.
• Promote best practices in equipment operation and maintenance.

Training & Competence Development

• Develop and deliver technical and application training programs for service team in the field.
• Conduct classroom and field-based training on products, systems, maintenance practices, and underground mining applications.
• Assess competency gaps and support continuous competence development initiatives.

3. Continuous Product Improvement

• Capture and communicate the product feedback to provide engineered solution in the field.
• Identify recurring product issues and opportunities for product enhancements.
• Collaborate with different stake holders in continuous improvement projects.

Competences, skills and experience 

• Strong knowledge of underground mining operations and applications.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
• Sound understanding of hydraulic, electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control systems used in underground mining equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, service reports, and performance data.
• Strong presentation and training delivery skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies.
• Ability to work independently in challenging underground mining environments.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital service tools.
• Becomes the "go-to" expert for Underground Trucks, LHDs, Drill Rigs, and related systems.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, controls, automation, and mining applications. Confidently explains technical concepts to technicians, managers, and customers.
