SHEQ Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive SHEQ Manager to lead and evolve our integrated Safety, Health, Environment and Quality framework across our geoscience operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will partner closely with senior management and field teams to embed a high-performing, proactive safety culture while ensuring full compliance with WA and national regulatory standards. You will play a key role in strengthening systems, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational excellence across the business
The Opportunity
As a key member of the Geoscience Management Team, you will:
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our integrated SHEQ management systems
- Ensure compliance with WA and Australian legislative and regulatory requirements
- Embed SHEQ principles into operational planning, project delivery and decision-making
- Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments, ensuring effective corrective actions
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, driving preventative improvements
- Provide guidance and training to field and operational teams to strengthen safe work practices
- Monitor and report on SHEQ performance metrics to support informed business decisions
- Manage SHEQ documentation, reporting systems and external regulatory engagement
- Support budget planning and resource allocation for SHEQ initiatives
- Undertake regular site visits
About You
You are a confident leader who can balance operational practicality with regulatory rigour. You influence at all levels and are passionate about building strong safety cultures in field-based environments.
You will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or a related discipline
- Relevant SHEQ qualifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or equivalent)
- Strong working knowledge of WA and Australian HSE legislation and industry standards
- Clear understanding of workers compensation
- 5+ years’ experience in a SHEQ leadership role within operational environments (geoscience, mining or similar)
- Demonstrated experience developing and improving integrated management systems
- Strong risk assessment, audit and incident investigation capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Analytical capability to interpret data and drive continuous improvement
