THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a motivated Trades Assistant to join our high-performing team at our Electrical Workshop in Newcastle. This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday.

In this hands-on role, you will support qualified tradespeople across a variety of workshop tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in the electrical industry within a supportive, safety focused team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in structured on-the-job training
Support tradespeople with workshop tasks and project activities
Perform manual handling and maintain a clean, organised workspace
Receive, check and pack good
Assist with general workshop operations as required

ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate a strong work ethic, a proactive attitude, and a genuine commitment to safety.

Essential:

Forklift Licence
HR Licence
Current First Aid Certificate
Basic computer literacy

Desirable:

ERP system experience
Previous experience in the electrical industry

Reliable, honest and committed to quality workmanship
Strongly aligned with a Zero Harm safety culture
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
