Regional Business Line Manager Rock Drilling Tools (BLM RGD), Central Asia

 

Epiroc Group have a strategic long-term ambition to grow in the region and we are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and highly qualified Business Line Manager for drilling consumables and ground support.

This position has key role in the building of a strong business proposition for customers in the region. This position will be reporting to the Regional General Manager Central Asia and will be responsible for growing sales and customer value through coordination of activities from the identification of customer needs to the proposal, negotiations, delivery and commercial and technical support.



Mission
The mission of the role is to develop and maintain a market-leading position for Rock Drilling Tools in Central Asia by delivering superior customer value, sustainable profitable growth, operational excellence, and outstanding customer experience. The role will lead a high-performing Product and Business Development team while working in close partnership with the capital equipment and service business lines and sales to drive market penetration, customer success, inventory optimization, and long-term business profitability.


The Position Will Be Responsible For

  • Lead, develop and coach a high-performing team of products and technical support, fostering a culture of accountability, customer focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the RGD business performance in Central Asia, ensuring delivery of sustainable sales growth, profitability targets, market share expansion, and return on investment.
  • Drive gross margin improvement initiatives through optimized product mix, pricing excellence, value-based selling, and effective cost management.
  • Take full responsibility for inventory management and working capital performance within the business line, ensuring optimal stock availability, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, and supply chain efficiency while minimizing obsolescence risks.
  • Develop and execute the regional business strategy for Rock Drilling Tools and Ground Support, aligned with Epiroc's growth ambitions and Central Asia business strategy.
  • Build strong collaboration with the Central Asia Business Lines and Sales to support opportunity development, key account growth, sales planning, forecasting, and excellence execution.
  • Establish customer-centric processes that deliver industry-leading customer experience, ensuring timely delivery, technical support, product performance, and proactive resolution of customer issues.
  • Partner with customers to improve drilling productivity, safety, cost efficiency, and operational performance through innovative consumable solutions and value-added services.
  • Drive implementation and expansion of performance-based business models, including CPM (Cost per Meter), technology-enabled solutions, and other value-generating offerings.
  •  Monitor market trends, competitive activities, customer requirements, and emerging technologies, translating insights into actionable growth opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure effective lifecycle management of the product portfolio, including new product introductions, phase-outs, pricing strategies, and customer adoption plans.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Supply Chain, Service, Finance, and Product Companies to ensure alignment and delivery of business objectives.
  • Provide product expertise, commercial guidance, and application support to the Sales Department to increase sales effectiveness and win rate.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of indirect sales channel strategies, including dealer support, capability development, and performance improvement initiatives where applicable.

 

Competency Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience within mining, construction, drilling consumables, aftermarket, or related industries, including leadership responsibility for sales, business development, product management, or operational functions.
  • Previous experience with Rock Drilling Tools, drilling consumables, underground mining, surface mining, or associated applications is highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of mining customer operations, drilling applications, and consumable business models.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales, product management, and business development teams.
  •  Ability to create a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused culture that drives engagement and performance.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset with the ability to identify customer needs and translate them into value-added solutions.
  • Experience in driving customer productivity, operational efficiency, and cost optimization through technical and commercial solutions.

 

Knowledge

  • Rock Drilling Tools, Ground Support products, applications, and customer processes within surface and underground mining.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, profitability drivers, pricing management, and business performance metrics.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management, supply chain processes, and demand forecasting.
  • Fluent in English, Russian is highly desirable

 

Education

  • The successful candidate should have a University Degree, preferably in Civil, Mining or Geology Engineering or similar through experience
  • Commercial and/or financial training is a merit
