Product Specialist & Operator Trainer - Underground

We’re excited to introduce the role of Product Specialist & Operator Trainer – Underground for Epiroc Equipment Ghana Ltd., a key position within our Parts & Services Division serving the Mining and Rock Excavation business. This role is central to elevating service excellence by delivering high‑quality operator training and technical support on Epiroc’s underground mining equipment.

As a Product Specialist & Operator Trainer, you will work closely with service centers, sales teams, dealer partners, and our customers to optimize machine performance, improve operational safety, and ensure our equipment delivers maximum value on site. The position is hands‑on and field‑focused, requiring significant time underground and direct engagement with end‑users—ideal for someone who thrives in operational environments and is passionate about transferring knowledge where it matters most.

Your Mission

• Deliver high‑quality technical and operator training aligned with Epiroc global standards, supported by well‑developed training materials and documentation.
• Provide expert technical and warranty support to service centers, sales teams, dealers, and technicians while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
• Coach and mentor local Epiroc personnel, developing front‑line technicians into independent problem solvers through hands‑on guidance.
• Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure analysis on hydraulics, pneumatics, remote control systems, and CANBUS technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by gathering field feedback, reporting via systems like WOL, ACIGN, and MOL, and ensuring safety compliance onsite and underground.
• Maintain strong communication and customer relations, supporting seamless operational performance and acting as backup to the Master Driller/Operator Trainer.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field (preferred), plus a trade qualification in mechanical disciplines.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical fault‑finding, maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, remote control systems, and CANBUS communication.
• Hands‑on experience with Epiroc products used in underground mining and surface drilling, supported by mandatory Epiroc/Atlas Copco training certifications.
• Proficient in root cause and failure analysis, with familiarity in condition monitoring techniques such as oil sampling.
• Computer literacy in MS Excel, Word, and Office 365 for documentation and reporting.
• Effective communication, leadership, and customer engagement skills, with the ability to work both independently and within diverse teams.
