Join Epiroc Equipment Ghana Ltd. as a Transport Coordinator within our dynamic Equipment & Service Business Area, part of the Parts & Services Division EMEA. Based in Obuasi, this role is essential to our Supply Chain & Sourcing function, specifically within the logistics department. As a key member of the Customer Center team, you will contribute significantly to the successful management of our transportation operations.

 

As a Transport Coordinator, you will assist in managing all shipments across the region to ensure they are transported timely and cost-effectively while maintaining full compliance with legal requirements for both imports and exports. Your role directly supports Regional Transportation objectives, helping meet key performance indicators related to transportation costs, service quality, and lead times.

 

Your Mission

  • Collaborate closely with Regional Transportation to help achieve KPIs, focusing on reducing transportation costs and enhancing service delivery.
  • Support optimization efforts of inbound and outbound transportation, improving delivery efficiency regionally.
  • Facilitate shipment tracking and tracing activities, providing timely updates and resolving any transportation issues.
  • Assist in preparing and verifying export and import documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate internal systems and records, ensuring data integrity for transportation activities.
  • Coordinate and expedite shipment solutions as needed to meet critical deadlines.
  • Review, approve, code, and process freight invoices, working closely with finance and other relevant teams.
  • Contribute to regional cost and service improvement initiatives by providing insights and supporting project execution.
  • Support adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) to maintain high standards in transportation services.
  • Coordinate all import and export processes, including clearing instructions, ensuring full legal compliance.

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Relevant certifications or specialized knowledge in Supply Chain, Transportation, or Logistics.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, essential for reporting and data management.
  • Strong command of English, both verbal and written; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, particularly domestic and international transportation processes.
  • Experience or solid knowledge of logistics, distribution processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and work collaboratively across multiple functional teams.
