THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our high-performing team based in Sydney or Orange, NSW, on a permanent full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional to play a key role in supporting business performance through accurate financial reporting, commercial analysis and strong stakeholder engagement. Working closely with operational and finance leaders, you will contribute to informed decision-making, ensure compliance with financial obligations and drive continuous improvement across financial processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and analysing monthly management reports, budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Partnering with finance and operational leaders to improve financial performance, accountability and business outcomes.
  • Providing financial analysis and insights, including profitability, labour recovery, cost rates and profit and loss performance.
  • Managing and supporting accounts receivable activities, including debtor reporting, collections oversight and cash flow management.
  • Assisting with taxation compliance, including BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintaining balance sheet integrity through timely reconciliations, strong financial controls and governance processes.
  • Supporting month-end and year-end reporting requirements, audits and compliance activities.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance financial systems, reporting capabilities and business processes.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a financial accounting, management accounting or similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and a willingness to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also operating independently when required.
  • A strong commitment to accuracy, integrity and professional standards.
