About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Line Manager to lead our Underground Mining Rock Excavation (UMR) division in Australia. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving growth, profitability, and innovation across Epiroc’s underground product lines.

As the Business Line Manager – UMR, you will oversee marketing, sales, service, and administration while ensuring total business line performance. You’ll provide visionary leadership to your team, foster collaboration across departments, and represent Epiroc’s core values of Innovation, Commitment, and Collaboration at every level.

This role forms part of the Australian Customer Center Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic direction and success of Epiroc in the region.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic market, sales, and growth plans for the UMR business line in alignment with divisional goals.

  • Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing team to achieve business and financial targets.

  • Deliver strong customer satisfaction through exceptional product support and service excellence.

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders within the underground mining sector.

  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities.

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in product offerings, processes, and customer engagement.

  • Collaborate closely with the aftermarket and service teams to expand and strengthen aftermarket business opportunities.

  • Manage the business line’s financial performance, including P&L accountability, forecasting, receivables, and inventory management.

  • Promote and uphold Epiroc’s global values, policies, and standards outlined in The Way We Do Things.

  • Contribute as an active member of the Australian Customer Center Leadership Team, supporting overall company performance and strategy.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or postgraduate qualification desirable).

  • Proven track record in a senior sales, commercial, or business leadership role within the mining or heavy equipment industry.

  • Deep understanding of underground mining processes, technologies, and equipment.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful business strategies.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead change through a large and diverse organisation.

  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, P&L, and operational performance.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to convert data into strategic insights and actions.

  • High customer focus and ability to build enduring partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
