Kinetic Logging Services Pty Ltd is a division of EPIROC and is a leading supplier of Geophysical Services in Australia, with offices in Perth, Newman and Brisbane.

 

Based in Kewdale, we are seeking an Experienced Electronic Installation Technician on a permanent, full time basis, to join our installation team within the wider manufacturing team! 

Support the full build and assembly of our unique Semi-Autonomous vehicle OreSight, and manual operated Geophys Vehicle. Both vehicles provide the service of the logging Geophysical Data to our major clients! 

 

About the Role:

As an Electronic Installation Technician your role will include: 

  • Soldering, wiring, assembly, manufacturing, installation and testing of various in-house designed electronic assemblies and harnesses
  • Ensuring compliance to drawing/ manufacturing requirements.
  • Based on the requirements of the business, this position may involve travel to our sites in the Pilbara Region! 

 

About you:

You are looking for a new challenge, and want long term job security in a Unique Mining Technology Services Company! 

  • Minimum Certificate III or IV (or equivalent) in electronics, instrumentation, automotive electrical
  • Relevant trade experience in electrical/electronic, Automation control systems installation
  • Intermediate to expert level Soldering Skills (Milspec Connectors, PCB manufacturing wiring joins)
  • Stripping, crimping and general harness manufacturing experience
  • Electronic circuit and equipment fault-finding and trouble-shooting
  • Ability to use measuring tools e.g. multi-meters
  • Ability to read electronic or wiring diagrams
  • High attention to detail in following instructions and procedures
  • Have a quality focus
  • Intermediate computer skills 
  • A strong commitment to safe work practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Eager to grow with a United and Inspired Company!

 

These extra skills are a BIG Advantage!

  • Experience with PLC installations 
  • Understanding of CAN based installations
  • Mechanical ability/Aptitude
  • Experience with cutting, grinding, drilling and shaping tools
  • Experience in instrumentation and variable speed drives (VSD's)
  • Restricted electrical license - extra advantage! 

 

Applicants must: 

  • Be able to pass initial and on-going Drug and Alcohol screening
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Medical
  • Have the Right to Work and Live in Australia
  • Provide up to 2 professional references
  • Australian Drivers license C Class - as a minimum
