We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and develop Australia towards ambitious growth, operational excellence, and sustainability targets.

 

 

 

About the role

 

As General Manager, your mission is to expand and realize our market potential for all divisions in Australia. You will have full responsibility for consolidated operations, driving the business with a focus on passionate people, growth, profitability, and building business synergies. You will ensure that CC Australia continuously gains market share, is recognized as a market leader, and operates with the profitability expected by the Epiroc Group. Furthermore, you will have full legal responsibility for Australia as a country and entity.

 

Your focus will include growing customer share, strengthening our aftermarket (service and consumables), and re-inventing operational processes in alignment with the Australian Mining Charter.

 

You will foster an agile, efficient, and high-performing organization, creating a safe and positive working environment with motivated employees, optimum flexibility, gender diversity, and a positive attitude.

 

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Drive profitable organic growth by understanding the customer base and market potential, managing key accounts, and expanding market and customer share.
  • Ensure financial transparency and predictability, focusing on price management, cost efficiencies, and operational excellence.
  • Lead digital transformation and innovation, including automation, digitalization, and electrification, to maintain market leadership in new technology.
  • Foster a high-performing, value-based organization where safety, sustainability, and minimal environmental impact are integral to the culture.
  • Develop and execute long-term sustainability roadmaps in line with Epiroc 2030 targets, integrating sustainability into business offerings.
  • Promote gender diversity and inclusion, aiming for a 50% mindset in recruitment and continuous improvement each year.
  • Implement clear mission, vision, and strategy for the region, ensuring all employees have tangible goals and KPIs, and drive high employee engagement.
  • Expand the customer base, improve customer satisfaction year on year, and develop a customer-focused aftermarket organization.
  •  Supply Chain to boost internal efficiency and customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance with all processes and policies.
  • Accountability for the legal entities in the country

 

 

 

Experience and requirements

 

  • At least 10 years’ experience in similar roles and potentially in highly complex matrix organizations. 
  • Experience of running legal entities, compliance, and regulatory
  • Previous experience in similar industries is a strong plus. 
  • Proven experience managing and nurturing diverse teams 
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant fields. 
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required, an additional local language is a strong plus.
