Mechanical Fitter

Kinetic Logging Services Pty Ltd is an Epiroc entity and a leading supplier of Geophysical Services in Australia, with offices in Perth, Newman and Brisbane.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Production team in Kewdale. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to join an innovative business delivering specialised technology and equipment to the mining industry.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be involved in the build, assembly, maintenance and refurbishment of our specialised vehicles and equipment used across our OreSight and Conventional Geophysical Logging services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Full mechanical builds of specialised vehicles and equipment
• Assembly and installation of custom mechanical components
• Light fabrication and modification work
• Maintenance and refurbishment of existing vehicles and equipment
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Supporting ongoing improvement and innovative production projects
• Working closely with the Production team to deliver equipment safely, efficiently and to a high standard

About You:

You are a skilled, hands-on tradesperson who takes pride in the quality of your work and is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity within an innovative and growing business.

You will bring:

• Relevant trade qualification in Automotive, Marine, Mechanical Fitting or a related mechanical trade
• Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical fault-finding skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams
• Current C Class Driver's Licence; HR licence highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• A safety-focused approach to your work
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Reliability, flexibility and a willingness to learn and develop
