About the Role
This pivotal role at Epiroc is designed to elevate our operational capabilities across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region by working closely with Global Operations. Reporting directly to the Vice President Marketing & Operations-APAC, you will be instrumental in transforming our service operations to deliver best-in-class performance.

Your primary focus will be on three key objectives:

• Developing the most competent and skilled team in the industry.
• Implementing industry-leading standards in Service Operations, including Service Contracts and Workshop excellence.
• Collaborating strategically with Marketing and Sales teams to drive profitable growth through enhanced operations.

Successfully achieving these objectives will enhance operational efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, increase profitability, and contribute directly to the implementation and success of divisional goals.

Main Responsibilities

• Partner with divisional and local leadership to identify strategic priorities and develop actionable plans that meet and exceed operational goals.
• Accelerate the certification process of service technicians at TL1 and TL2 levels, ensuring high competency across the workforce.
• Assess and define future competency and skill requirements aligning with emerging technologies such as digital tools and zero emissions operations.
• Lead rotation and exchange programs to facilitate knowledge transfer, implement best practices, and elevate capabilities at workshops and within service contracts.
• Support comprehensive training initiatives and lead efforts in talent attraction and retention to build a resilient and skilled workforce.
• Establish and nurture a network of internal experts across APAC to provide rapid support for critical field activities including commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Drive communication and dissemination of best practices, policies, and procedures to sustain continuous improvement across field operations.
• Standardize certification and quality assurance processes for service agreements and workshop operations region-wide.
• Champion the completion of Lean principles implementation in workshops and service agreements to optimize workflows and eliminate waste.

Candidate Profile

This position can be based at any of our offices within the APAC region including Perth, Nanjing, Jakarta, Nashik,Thailand, or Ulaanbaatar. Extensive travel is expected, up to 60% of your working time, to provide hands-on support and leadership locally.

• Hold an engineering degree or possess equivalent extensive experience.
• Bring at least 15 years of progressive experience in operations, with a proven track record of turning around and enhancing operational performance.
• Demonstrate fluency in English; proficiency in a second language is highly advantageous.
• Exhibit strong expertise in Service Management Systems, crucial for effective service delivery management.
• Possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and policies to diverse stakeholders.
• Display advanced analytical and reasoning skills enabling the resolution of complex problems and the development of innovative solutions.
• Adaptability and cultural sensitivity to effectively work across varied countries and teams within APAC.
