Product Manager - Drilling Solutions

Epiroc are seeking a Product Manager to support the drilling solutions business line. The purpose of the Product Manager role is to support, develop and market the Pit Viper and DM product lines within Australia, PNG and New Zealand. This role must be able to demonstrate the value of surface blasthole drills and automation technology for our customers, set and achieve budget for turnover and profitability and establish and maintain customer satisfaction through personal service as well as the use of the Epiroc service network.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Directly supports the Business Line Manager - Drilling Solutions for the customer's needs
- Product ownership of the Epiroc Blasthole product line (DM and Pit Viper series drill rigs) within Australia, PNG and New Zealand
- Acts as liaison between customer and factory for problem resolution, new product development, and continuous improvement effort
- Assist in developing and maintaining the marketing strategy for the Blasthole product line
- Contribute to achieving consolidated sales & profitability targets
- Track, monitor and analyze blasthole market share development, including competitor activities and their products
- Make field and customer visits to ensure the company is informed of the latest market trends and future industry needs
- Provide product support and application training to the sales team
- Provide technical feedback and information during the sale quotation process
- Ownership of the order to delivery process in conjunction with factory teams
- Management of customer specific rig specifications and pricing
- Works with communications personnel for article creation, expo planning, and speaking engagements
- Travel as required to fulfill the duties of the role and this includes travel on weekends or overseas to the factory in the USA, to mine sites and customer's offices within the region
- Project management during implementation of field trials
