Product Manager - Underground Automation

RCT has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Product Manager – Underground Automation, to join our dynamic Product Management team. The preferred location for this role is in Kewdale, however remote locations will be considered.
The key objective of the Product Manager – Underground Automation is to maximise commercial value from RCT’s automation and data product suite and increase growth for the product group across all markets globally. The Product Portfolio Manager - Data will have an understanding of the user experience and have the ability to investigate the market to obtain feedback firsthand.
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Manage the complete life-cycle of the Products within the Product Group (from product requirements, product release, certification, customer experience and after sales support, and obsolescence).
- To grow the Product Groups market with success measured by revenue, new customers [i.e. penetration] and new off-the-shelf product innovations
- Understand product requirements and develop new product ideas through Customer engagement Develop product roadmaps, based on inputs from the Customers, Account/Business Development Managers, Engineering Management, market research and existing capabilities within the business
- Provide the required inputs for the development and change to of products, in consultation with the Engineering department.
- Monitor and analyse customer complaints (liaise with Customer Service and Sales for resolution of product issues internally)
- Manage the Product group budget related to warranty and support, including prioritisation of rectification work
- Monitor for trends and/or fault frequency rates and recommend solutions accordingly
- Coordinate with the product management teams across Epiroc to identify areas of synergies and possible integration of products
- Make recommendations for product rationalisation.
To be considered for this role you will ideally have:
- A background in electrical, electronics, mechanical or engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- A strong understanding of RCT products and their application.
- Proven track record with Customer Engagement and market requirements
- Skills to produce timely, logically user centric product documentation.
- Proven success collaborating with development teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation and leadership skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proven success collaborating with development teams.
- Exposure to ERP systems (Pronto and OnBase will be highly regarded)
