Kinetic Logging Services Pty Ltd (KLS), an Epiroc entity, is a recognised leader in geoscience services, providing advanced geophysical logging and core scanning solutions to the mining industry.
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our production and equipment refurbishment activities.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will supervise a small technical team while remaining actively involved in the delivery, maintenance, commissioning and troubleshooting of specialised geophysical equipment.
Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Business Development, you will coordinate production activities, manage resources and suppliers, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to a high standard.
About the Role:
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating the production team, including allocating work, setting priorities and maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity
- Overseeing production and refurbishment projects from planning through to completion
- Coordinating HyLogger equipment maintenance, upgrades and refurbishment activities, including liaison with clients
- Remaining hands-on in the commissioning, maintenance, fault-finding and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic equipment
- Supporting design-for-manufacture initiatives to improve build methods, equipment reliability, safety and efficiency
- Planning production workflows, resources and project requirements to meet operational priorities and delivery schedules
- Managing suppliers, vendors, procurement activities and external services as required
- Working collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Business Development to resolve technical and operational issues
- Ensuring production activities, documentation and equipment meet required safety, quality and technical standards
About You:
You will be a practical, technically capable leader who enjoys being involved in the work while also taking responsibility for the performance and development of your team.
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- A trade or tertiary qualification in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, engineering or a related technical discipline
- Experience within equipment assembly, production, manufacturing, maintenance, refurbishment or a similar technical environment
- Previous experience leading, supervising or coordinating a small technical or production team
- Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience coordinating suppliers, vendors and procurement activities
- The ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Experience with CAD systems and ERP, PLM or similar databases would be highly regarded
- Practical mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting capability
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical teams, internal stakeholders, suppliers and clients
