Regional Planning Expert

As a Regional Planning Expert, your mission is to drive the integrated demand forecasting and inventory optimization processes for your region. You will engage with Sales, Marketing, Service, Customer Centers, Production Centers, and the wider Supply Chain organization to ensure accurate forecasting, optimal stockholding, and alignment with business growth and service targets. Your focus is to balance forecast accuracy, availability, inventory levels, and cost efficiency, supporting Epiroc’s strategic and operational goals.

Key tasks and responsibilities of the role:

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of demand planning and inventory optimization processes in the region.

• Support and drive collaborative planning with customer centers and internal stakeholders.

• Consolidate and analyze local demand plans, adjusting forecasts and stock levels based on market intelligence, business developments, fleet changes, contract updates, and major events.

• Monitor inventory and availability targets for Customer Centers and Distribution Centers collaborating with regional supply chain organizations.

• Review, maintain, and optimize inventory across regional warehouses, balancing availability and cash flow

• Manage and optimize forecast and stockholding/planning parameters settings in the systems.

• Approve and execute replenishment policy changes and stocking requests, including initial and critical stock, in line with global processes and business needs.

• Collect and consolidate forecast files from local teams and submit results to Global S&OP.

• Analyze and proactively manage excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory to minimize costs and improve service.

• Participate in projects to implement new processes, system functionalities, and company integrations or divestments.

• Contribute to supply chain competence development and cross-functional collaboration to enhance customer service.

• Identify, propose, and implement process improvements in alignment with the global process owner.

Formal knowledge and experience required to be successful in the role:

• Extensive experience in end-to-end supply chain management, including inventory management, demand and supply planning, forecasting, and project management in a global environment.
• Strong experience working in an MRP planning environment preferably within OEM organisations.
• Good knowledge of inventory management across multi-country operations within the APAC region.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across multiple locations and in a global environment.
• Experience in project management and implementing change in a global organisation.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent experience
