Epiroc's Geoscience business line is seeking a dedicated Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ)  Coordinator to support work health and safety engagement at Kinetic Logging Services and Corescan! 

Kinetic Logging Services Pty Ltd is a leading supplier of Geophysical Services in Australia, specialising in delivering the innovative OreSight Semi-Autonomous Vehicle for geophysical data collection, while Corescan focuses on hyperspectral data acquisition, processing, and interpretation for geological applications.

 

 

The successful candidate will report to the SHEQ Manager and enhance our capability in practices and systems that support and protect the health and safety of the employees. This role also includes requirements to support company compliance with organisation policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements, focused on Quality, Safety, Environment and Asset Management Systems. This is done through creating, implementation, and evaluating these key areas to create a safe and healthy work environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

 

The SHEQ Coordinator is a vital role which oversees the safety, health, environment, and quality assurance aspects of Epiroc’s Geoscience business line, specifically within the following Epiroc entities: Kinetic Logging Services and Corescan

 

The Role:

  • Developing and maintaining safety, health, environmental, quality and asset management systems.
  • Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
  • Creating and implementing training programs to educate employees on safety and quality standards.
  • Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborating with different departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Monitoring and analysing data to identify trends and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Managing the documentation and record-keeping related to safety, health, environment, and quality.
  • Liaising with external regulatory bodies and auditors to ensure compliance with legal requirements including the radiation compliance.
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing risk management strategies.
  • Continuously reviewing and updating policies and procedures to reflect industry best practices.
  • Leading or taking part of SHEQ groups or committees in support of company operations
  • Promote a culture of continuous safety/quality/environmental/asset management system improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we have work processes and procedures that drive a culture of safety.

 

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, you should be able to analyse data and have problem-solving abilities to address SHEQ (Safety Health Environment and Quality).

  • Cert IV or equivalent in OHS/WHS
  • Lead Auditor Certification (preferably to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 or 55001)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Training delivery and assessment experience 
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft suite (preferably including Project)
  • Ability to interpret and apply policy and accreditation standards
  • Strong consulting, negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Change Management knowledge
  • Demonstrated analytical and investigation skills
