The Senior Software Test Engineer is responsible for design, implementation, maintenance and verification of software and software testing systems. This role also assists the software test manager to co-ordinate the test team, review new technology and improvements. Act as mentor to junior staff in the department

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

Review software requirements to ensure test coverage
Design software tests for software being implemented by development team
Employ test automation methods when applicable
Be involved in manual software testing when required
Mentor and oversee junior test team members where appropriate
Work with the software test team to ensure consistent test methods, approaches and tools are used across RCT products as far as possible
Contribute to the review of RCT quality processes in the software test area when required
Monitor progress of their own work within the test team and report to test lead
Assist test team manager with coordination of work within the test team

To be considered for this role you will require the following:

BSc / BEng Electronic / Mechatronic /Software or equivalent experience
At least 2 years of software testing experience
Knowledge in programming automated software test systems
At least one communication protocol
Excellent time management skills
Methodical, systematic, process driven work practices
Total customer satisfaction culture and drive
Detail and accuracy oriented for self and team
