We’re seeking a motivated Technical Writer to join our Technical Information team in Perth. In this role, you’ll create high-quality instructional documents that support both our internal teams and our customers. You’ll play a key part in turning complex technical information into clear, practical and user-friendly content.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Create consistent, clear and concise documentation for a range of projects that meet organisational standards and guidelines
  • Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write a range of document types including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Component Removal and Installation Instructions (CRIs), Work Instructions (WINs) and Standard Work Procedures (SWPs)
  • Workflow documents in M-Files (document control system)
  • Identify areas of improvement in existing documentation
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proofread/edit existing documentation
  • Develop content for use in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience writing technical instructional documents
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and translate them for diverse audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with digital documents and digital content delivery systems will be highly advantageous
  • High level of organisation and commitment to following style guides and templates
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Willingness to travel to various sites on occasion
