We're looking for an experienced High Voltage Specialist to join our Technical Training team as a Technical Trainer - High Voltage Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to become Epiroc's in-house subject matter expert for High Voltage (HV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) technology while helping build the capability of our customers and employees across Australia.
This role has been created to support the continued growth of our electrified product portfolio and ensure we develop world-class training capability internally.
While training experience is highly valued, we are primarily seeking an experienced HV Electrician or HV Specialist with strong practical experience working on BEV, electric drive, or high-voltage systems within mining, heavy mobile equipment, construction, rail or related industries.

About the Role
As the Technical Trainer - High Voltage Specialist, you will be the focal point for HV and BEV training across the Epiroc training portfolio. You will deliver technical training, support new machine introductions and commissioning activities, develop training materials, and provide specialist technical support to customers and internal stakeholders. Over time, you will become cross-skilled across Epiroc's broader product range and support delivery of mechanical maintenance training programs across both underground and surface mining equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver High Voltage and Battery Electric Vehicle technical training programs to customers and Epiroc personnel.
- Conduct classroom, workshop and field-based practical training.
- Develop and maintain HV and BEV training materials, assessments and learning resources.
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for HV and electrified mining equipment.
- Support machine commissioning, customer onboarding and technical capability development.
- Provide technical guidance for HV-related customer and internal enquiries.
- Develop competency across Epiroc's underground and surface equipment portfolio.
- Deliver mechanical maintenance training programs where required.
- Work closely with product specialists, service teams and global stakeholders to ensure training remains current and technically accurate.
- Promote and lead best-practice safety behaviours, particularly in High Voltage environments.
To be successful in this role, you will bring the essential skills:
- High Voltage electrical trade qualification.
- Demonstrated High Voltage experience within mining, heavy mobile equipment, construction, rail, automotive electrification or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of HV safety systems, isolation procedures, diagnostics and fault finding.
- Experience working with Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) systems, electric drive systems, energy storage systems or similar technologies.
- Experience delivering technical guidance, mentoring, coaching or knowledge transfer within operational environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites across Australia.
Highly Desirable
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Previous experience as a technical trainer, training advisor or workplace assessor.
- Experience commissioning or supporting new technology deployments.
- Experience in underground mining environments.
- Experience working with OEM mining equipment.
