THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently seeking a motivated Trades Assistant to join our high-performing team based at our Electrical Workshop in Neerabup. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the electrical industry while gaining hands on experience and structured training in a supportive workshop environment.

 

In this permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday, you will assist with trailing and reeling cable repairs, support qualified tradespeople, and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the workshop

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively participate in on-the-job training and development opportunities
  • Assist with trailing and reeling cable repairs and maintenance activities
  • Perform general workshop duties including manual handling and housekeeping
  • Support tradespeople and workshop personnel with a variety of tasks and activities
  • Receive, inspect, pack and dispatch goods and materials
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment
  • Follow company safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture

 

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn and grow.

  • Motivated and proactive with a genuine desire to learn
  • Reliable, honest and takes pride in completing quality work
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence
  • Current High Risk Work Licence (Forklift)
  • Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office programs (desirable)
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and a ZERO Harm culture
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Previous experience in an electrical, manufacturing, workshop or trade environment (highly regarded but not essential)
