We focus on designing and developing heavy-duty battery-powered electric drive systems and the infrastructure needed to support them.

Responsibilities:
- Help design the electrical systems associated with projects
- Responsible for the function and safety of the electrical systems associated with their project(s)
- Work with other members of a multi-disciplinary team
- Collaborate with global teams on projects
- Assist in the development of the scope of assigned projects
- Aid in any other electrical design work done as part of assigned projects
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes
- Prepare and review technical documentation:
- Circuit diagrams, schematics, reports, drawing packages, simulations, etc
- Identify opportunities for process and design improvement/optimization
- Plan for and execute testing and commissioning of the systems created as part of assigned projects
- Help with the integration of various systems, ensuring compatibility, efficiency, and reliability across the entire system
Knowledge/Education:
- 2+ years of related industry experience
- Experience with functional safety application design and development under standards such as IEC EN 61508 and ISO 13849
- Engineering degree, diploma, or similar
- In-depth knowledge of integrating battery systems, electric drivetrains, power electronics, thermal management and other components to create a fully functional system
- Knowledge of various communication protocols such as CAN and ethernet
- In-depth understanding of Electrical engineering principles
- Good understanding of hardware and software systems simulations using tools such as MATLAB, Simulink
Skills and Abilities:
- Good understanding of functional safety
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities
- A good understanding of programming logic and how it controls mechatronic systems
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Friendly disposition. Work well with people of various backgrounds, skillsets, demeanors, and positions
- An ability and desire to push the boundaries of themselves and our industry on a daily basis
- Ability to perform general assembly and wiring

Wage/salary for position: $95,912.00 - $126,870.00
