Mission of the role/role pitch:

 

Be part of a team that keeps operations moving. As a Parts Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enabling operational excellence by ensuring reliable access to critical parts across site operations. Through effective inventory management and strong collaboration, you will support equipment performance, minimise downtime, and contribute to safe, efficient service delivery.

 

Your Mission

 

  • Plan and manage spare parts to support maintenance and minimise downtime
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and monitor inventory trends
  • Coordinate procurement, track orders, and expedite urgent requirements
  • Align with maintenance teams to ensure parts readiness for daily and shutdown activities
  • Ensure accurate stock control, storage, and compliance
  • Provide inventory reporting and communicate stock risks
  • Drive continuous improvement in inventory management and cost efficiency

 

 

Your Profile:

 

  • Grade 12 (Essential)
  • Relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Engineering (advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in parts coordination, inventory control, or supply chain (preferably in mining or heavy equipment)
  • Strong understanding of spare parts management and inventory systems
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar)
  • Strong planning, coordination, and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent requirements
