As a VAT Senior Specialist, you will play an important role in securing high‑quality VAT compliance for several European group companies. You will work closely with colleagues across countries, contribute to VAT‑related projects, and support the continuous improvement of our tax processes. Your Mission

  • Create, review, and approve VAT returns, EC Sales Lists and Intrastat filings
  •  Perform VAT-to-ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of VAT accounting
  • Oversee the VAT compliance obligations of the group's European entities
  • Support VAT audits and contribute to VAT-related projects
  • Monitor the quality of VAT data and reports
  • Support improvements to ERP VAT settings and data integrity
  • Share knowledge and assist with onboarding of new colleagues
  • Analysing and effectively communicating impact of changes in VAT legislation
  • Implementation of process improvements and identification of VAT recovery opportunities
  • Coordinate with external Big4 advisors for technical questions and complex filings

 

Your Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in indirect taxe business
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Tax, Accounting, Finance, or similar
  • Proven hands-on experience with VAT compliance and technical rules
  • Basic understanding of international tax, customs and trade compliance
  • Good F&A process knowledge; Excel skills; SAP will be an advantage
  • Fluent English; another language is a plus
  • Analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability
