Manager Accounting to Reporting (AtR), RCoE Finance India

We are seeking a proactive and forward-thinking Accounting to Reporting (AtR) Manager to strengthen our Regional Center of Excellence (RCoE) for Finance in India. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end AtR function within a growing, high-performing organization that supports all Finance operations across India.

The main responsibilities for this role include accurate and timely financial closing, statutory compliance, and delivery of high-quality financial reporting. The role requires strong expertise in accounting, process excellence, team management, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout our AtR Process.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Close & Reporting

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual book closing activities.
  • Ensure accuracy of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Review trial balances, variance analysis, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS / local GAAP.
  • Drive timely submission of group and statutory reporting.

 

2. General Ledger & Reconciliations

  • Oversee GL posting, account maintenance, and chart-of-accounts management.
  • Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed, reviewed, and cleared on time.
  • Monitor accruals, prepayments, provisions, and intercompany accounting.

 

4. Process Excellence & Controls

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization.
  • Implement best practices within the A2R cycle to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure process discipline.

 

5. Intercompany Accounting

  • Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, confirmations, and settlements.
  • Ensure timely closure of intercompany mismatches and adherence to transfer pricing guidelines.

 

6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage and mentor the AtR / GL accounting team.
  • Allocate work, review deliverables, and ensure continuous skill enhancement.
  • Collaborate with PtP, OtC, Treasury, Controlling, Tax, Procurement and other Business teams.
  • Communicate effectively with global and regional finance teams.

 

7. Systems & ERP Management

  • Ensure strong utilization of ERP systems.
  • Support system upgrades, data integrity checks, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement automation tools (RPA, Power BI etc.,).

Requirements – Education Background and skills

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
  •  8+ years of experience in accounting, reporting, or AtR domain.
  • Experience in managing a shared service or corporate accounting team.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS/IND AS, financial controls, and reporting standards.
  • Working knowledge of M3, BPCS, Tagetik will be added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

This position reports to the Manager RCoE Finance, Epiroc India.
