Job Description - Regional Treasury Lead - India

 

The Regional Treasury Lead India is responsible for supporting the organization’s treasury operations by ensuring efficient cash management, FX management, trade finance execution, banking coordination, and compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

 

This role is part of the Regional Center of Excellence (RCoE) and will work closely with the RCoE Manager in India and the Global Treasury team based in Sweden. The position will support treasury activities across all entities in India.

 

This role will contribute to maintaining optimal liquidity, managing foreign currency exposure, supporting trade finance operations, and strengthening banking relationships, to ensure seamless financial operations across the organization.

 

Treasury’s overall mission is to ensure that the Group and its legal entities have adequate access to funding and financial services required to support business operations while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and corporate governance standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Treasury Operations

 

  • Support day-to-day treasury operations including cash flow monitoring, liquidity management, and financial risk management.
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting and working capital management to ensure adequate liquidity across entities.
  • Monitor foreign exchange (FX) rates and market developments and support initiatives related to foreign currency exposure management.
  • Prepare and maintain treasury reconciliations, financial analysis, and management reports.

 

Trade Finance Management

 

  • Manage trade finance instruments, including Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and non-fund-based facilities.
  • Coordinate with banking partners for the issuance, amendment, and closure of bank guarantees and trade finance instruments.

 

  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of bank guarantee exposures and related documentation through systems such as Multibank.

 

Banking Relationship Management

 

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external banking partners and financial institutions.
  • Coordinate submission of documentation required for banking transactions and compliance requirements.
  • Support negotiations and operational activities related to trade finance facilities.

 

Financial Analysis & Reporting

 

  • Assist in analyzing financial markets and investment opportunities relevant to treasury operations.
  • Prepare periodic treasury dashboards, reconciliation reports, and analytical insights for management.
  • Provide data and analysis to support strategic financial decision-making.

 

Compliance & Governance

 

  • Ensure treasury activities are conducted in accordance with internal policies, financial regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Support internal audits and group audits by providing required documentation and reports related to treasury and legal functions.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, including The Epiroc Way, Code of Conduct, and compliance requirements.

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • MBA in Finance or equivalent qualification preferred

 

Experience

  • 5–6 years of relevant experience in treasury, finance, or accounting functions
  • Proven experience in trade finance operations (LC, BG, and non-fund-based facilities)

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of treasury management and financial markets
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange exposure and risk management
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
  • Familiarity with treasury management systems and financial tools
  • Ability to develop analytical tools and process improvements
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset and eagerness to learn

 

Work Location

This position will be based in Pune, India, supporting treasury operations for entities across India and the regional business units.
