As a Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that purchasing solutions are timely, cost-effective, and aligned with the needs of our internal stakeholders. You will foster strong supplier relationships to guarantee the uninterrupted supply of goods and services, while actively contributing to the broader Supply Chain function. This role is about more than procurement—it is about enabling operational excellence, supporting business continuity, and driving value through every decision made.

Your mission:

Identify purchasing needs aligned with operational requirements and ensure timely supply of materials and services.
Source, evaluate, and vet suppliers, including managing vendor applications and maintaining the BBBEE database.
Obtain quotations, negotiate cost savings, and issue purchase orders while tracking deliveries and maintaining the open order book.
Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and support audit and assessment processes.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and inventory levels to ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
Collaborate closely with stores, finance, and operations teams to drive procurement efficiency.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Supply Chain function.

Your Profile:

Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement or purchasing
Basic supply chain knowledge and experience
Diploma/degree in purchasing or related field
Self-motivated and must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Numerical literacy
Excellent interpersonal skills
Be able to work under pressure and multitask.
Able to build strong & effective working relationships with suppliers, service providers and colleagues.
Excellent communication skills
Microsoft office suite
