Mission of the role:


Join Epiroc South Africa (Pty) Ltd as a Grinding and Painting Operator, based in Springs, and play a critical role within our Manufacturing Support team. This position focuses on the precise painting and grinding of Rotary and DTH (Down-The-Hole) products, ensuring high-quality finishes and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for surface preparation, safe machinery operation, and supporting material logistics within a fast-paced production setting. Your contribution will uphold Epiroc's commitment to delivering superior industry solutions.

 

Your mission: 

 

  • Perform detailed painting and grinding operations on Rotary and DTH products, maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Operate grinding machinery safely and efficiently, conducting regular inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal working order.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order within the paint booth and associated equipment to facilitate a safe, compliant, and productive workplace.
  • Assist with the movement of raw materials and finished goods, collaborating closely with team members to promote smooth workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to additional production-related tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to meeting production targets.

 

Your Profile: 

 

  • Minimum educational attainment of Grade 12 (Standard 10).
  • Valid crane license required to safely support material handling tasks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety procedures pertinent to painting and grinding environments, especially where dust and paint particles are factors.
  • Practical knowledge of TRACC (5S) methodology to maintain organized, clean, and efficient workspaces.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a related manufacturing or production environment involving painting and grinding is advantageous.
  • Willingness and availability to work shifts and prescribed overtime to align with production demands.
  • Demonstrated medical fitness to operate safely in environments exposed to dust and chemical agents, meeting occupational health standards.
