Product Specialist - Surface Mining Equipment (Epiroc)

Are you a highly skilled Surface Mining Equipment expert with a passion for improving machine performance, reliability, and customer success?

Epiroc is seeking an experienced Product Specialist to serve as the technical authority on our world-class surface drilling equipment portfolio. In this customer-facing role, you will partner closely with mine-site maintenance teams, planners, and operational leaders to maximize equipment availability, extend component life, reduce downtime, and drive operational excellence.

As the product expert, you will provide advanced technical troubleshooting, maintenance strategy support, condition monitoring, and hands-on coaching on Epiroc surface drill rigs and major components. You will play a critical role in ensuring customers achieve safe, productive, and cost-effective operations while strengthening Epiroc's position as the preferred OEM partner.

This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong Mechanical or Electrical Engineering professional with extensive experience on surface mining equipment, a deep understanding of OEM maintenance practices, and a proven ability to build trusted customer relationships.

Your Mission

• Conduct precise condition monitoring to assist customers in extending component life cycles and optimizing maintenance intervals.
• Develop and recommend tailored, site-specific maintenance strategies that balance risk with cost efficiency throughout the equipment lifecycle.
• Carry out planned maintenance inspections, initiating repair notifications whenever necessary to preclude significant breakdowns.
• Report major or recurring maintenance incidents promptly to prevent production delays and mitigate high operational costs.
• Provide specialized technical advice to support the formulation of proactive and effective preventative maintenance programs.
• Work directly with customer maintenance teams to diagnose equipment faults, guiding removal, repair, and installation processes to ensure swift restoration of operations.
• Monitor maintenance and repair event trends, identifying early component failures and recommending solutions to reduce recurrence impacts on production.
• Implement strategies aimed at minimizing premature parts or component failures, enhancing overall equipment reliability.

Your Profile:

• 5+ years' hands-on experience supporting surface mining equipment.
• Strong expertise in fault-finding, diagnostics, and equipment reliability.
• Solid understanding of maintenance planning, component lifecycle management, and condition monitoring.
• Epiroc product knowledge and technical certification preferred.
• A customer-focused professional who can train, coach, and influence site maintenance teams.
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
