Are you ready?

We are seeking a Sales Engineer who can go far beyond transactional selling and step into the role of a true strategic business partner to our most influential underground mining customers. The right person for this role will strengthen long-term customer relationships, unlock deeper value, and drive sustainable revenue growth within key accounts, while playing a critical role in understanding customer challenges, aligning tailored Epiroc solutions, and influencing operational decisions that shape the future of their mining performance.

As the Key Account Sales Engineer, you will focus on establishing and strengthening Epiroc's strategic relationships with engineering and planning companies, ensuring that surface equipment solutions, automation, and digital technologies are effectively specified and integrated into the project. The role drives early engagement, technical influence, and value creation, contributing to the success of Epiroc, our clients, and the project's long-term operational performance.

Your Mission

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key engineering, EPCM, and mine-planning stakeholders while serving as the primary Epiroc interface.
  • Engage at feasibility and concept stages to shape mine design, equipment selection, and technical specifications aligned with Epiroc solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, productivity models, and application support while translating customer needs into optimized Epiroc value propositions.
  • Influence equipment specifications, ensure correct tender referencing, and support sales teams during bid phases with technical insights.
  • Coordinate with product, engineering, service, and automation teams while sharing market intelligence and aligning stakeholders on key projects.
  • Monitor competitors and emerging technologies, identify project risks/opportunities, and position Epiroc as a long-term technical partner to drive sustainable growth.

Your Profile:

  • Holds a mining/mechanical engineering degree with 5–8+ years of underground mining, equipment, or engineering consulting experience, and a proven ability to influence specifications, tenders, and project outcomes.
  • Experienced in B2B sales, key account management, or project‑driven business development, with the ability to convert technical solutions into clear business value and navigate CAPEX‑driven procurement cycles.
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of underground mining equipment, engineering design processes, project execution, and the ability to interpret detailed technical documents, including mine plans and specifications.
  • Skilled in managing senior technical stakeholders, building trust with engineering‑focused clients, and delivering clear presentations and negotiations across both technical and commercial teams.
  • Adept at analysing mine designs, production data, and project needs to recommend optimized equipment and lifecycle solutions while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Self‑driven, results‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects independently, with strong integrity and willingness to travel internationally for client and project engagements.
