Service Supervisor - Field

Mission:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Supervisor - Field to lead maintenance operations for underground mining equipment. This role is critical in ensuring Epiroc machine availability, reliability and performance through strategic planning, condition monitoring and application of industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Supervisor - Field, you will:
- Supervise, prioritize, support, and perform Preventive Maintenance according to Epiroc OEM Specifications.
- Support technical activities such as machine reliability, availability, and functionality per equipment specifications in coordination with the customer planning and execution team.
- Supervise all technical services, support execution and commissioning in the field and manage technicians' competence and training requirements.
- Perform daily inspections following a defined protocol, recording deviations, problems, and operator comments, and ensure rectifications are completed.
- Drive all Product Safety Campaigns, warranties, and technical upgrades across the site fleet.
- Assist with sub-assembly repairs and machine rebuilds in the workshops when required.
- Take responsibility for the safe storage and maintenance of company vehicles and tools assigned to the project.
- Ensure all team members complete an annual Performance & Development review and maintain a personal competence development plan.
- Manage all site personnel, including Warehouse / VMI teams, ensuring parts availability at all times.
- Focus on planned maintenance to minimize unplanned maintenance and support customer operational planning and sustainability objectives.
- Support any additional projects assigned by management as required.
Your Profile:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance management within mining or heavy industry environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with underground mining equipment (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, RCS).
- In-depth knowledge of heavy mining equipment, including drills, loaders, and trucks.
- Proven experience working with mining contractors and managing site-based maintenance operations.
- Adaptability and resilience under pressure, with the ability to adjust plans and processes to changing conditions.
- A results-driven mindset with a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships across functions.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly and professionally to clients and contractors.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and guide teams toward shared goals.
- Strong project management capabilities, including planning, organizing, and delivering complex projects within tight timeframes.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles and the ability to ensure all work meets required quality standards.
