Epiroc Equipment Ghana Ltd. is looking for a technically strong and people-focused Service Supervisor - Field to join our Parts & Services Division EMEA in Tarkwa, Ghana. Are you an experienced technical professional passionate about mining equipment, maintenance excellence, and developing high-performing teams? As our Service Supervisor - Field, your mission will be to lead and coordinate field maintenance activities for Epiroc surface mining equipment, ensuring outstanding equipment availability, reliability, and performance. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership, customer engagement, condition monitoring, and continuous improvement to empower technicians, strengthen customer partnerships, and consistently deliver Epiroc Superior Standards.

 

Your Mission

 

  • Lead and coordinate site-based maintenance activities, schedules, resources, and technical support to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and technical support across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, RCS, and CANBUS systems, including root cause and failure analysis.
  • Facilitate safety, technical, and operator training while coaching and developing frontline technicians to strengthen competence and self-sufficiency.
  • Drive condition monitoring and preventive maintenance initiatives, including oil sampling and diagnostic practices, to identify potential failures early.
  • Collaborate with customers, service teams, product companies, dealers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical concerns and improve machine performance.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, diagnostic reports, warranty information, and service records while ensuring compliance with Epiroc safety standards, policies, and operational disciplines.

 

Your Profile

 

  • To succeed in this role, you should bring a strong blend of technical knowledge, leadership capability, customer focus, and practical mining equipment experience.
  • Bachelor's/Honours degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline, and/or appropriate trade-qualified mechanical expertise.
    Strong technical knowledge of surface drilling and mining equipment, preferably Epiroc products, supported by advanced electrical fault-finding and maintenance capabilities.
  • Demonstrated competence in hydraulics, pneumatics, RCS, CANBUS systems, root cause analysis, and applied failure analysis.
  • Relevant Epiroc Essential Basics training/certification and other required technical training would be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, customer-relations, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills, good technical reporting abilities, and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office 365; experience with mining contractors and drilling markets is highly desirable.
